Virginia Durksen [about me, business of one]
Visible Ink is an owner-operated company. I offer two workshop dates each month, which allows me time to prepare for and follow up on workshops. It also gives me time to write and edit for a few great clients. And to read. And travel. And generally enjoy life.
Over the years, I have also worked to help build a great community of editors. I am happy to promote the profession I serve. As an advocate for clear communication, I also provide media interviews and keynote speeches. Please contact me if you think if your writers and editors at work need a little visible ink.
Second person
Workplace writers [about you and yours: colleagues, employees, bosses]
You thought you were avoiding a career that requires writing. And yet here you are, writing proposals, reports, procedures and plans of all sorts. You are a writer at work.
Third person
Customers, citizens, decision makers [about all of us, including them]
Readers—the people we hope to inform and influence—are why we write. And they are why we all need to translate what we know [invisible ink] into clear, useful writing that helps readers see what we are trying to say.
That’s Visible Ink. Writing @ Work. Editing on Purpose.
